The Foundation subjects consist of History, Geography, DT and Art. Each subject is taught within a theme of learning such as 'Travel and Transport' or 'Nature all Around Us'. This enables teachers to plan a scheme of work that will make links across different areas of the curriculum, and provide the children with a broad and engaging learning experience.
Each year group has one topic theme per half term. The themes are centred around either a history or geography focus, with the other areas of study built around this. A curriculum map is created for each theme which shows all the different learning activities that have been planned. These curriculum maps can be found on your child's class page.
Attached below you will see the themes that have been created for all year groups across the whole year, including possible places of interest that parents may like to visit with their children.
