St John of Jerusalem is a school that welcomes applications from families from every culture, faith (or none) and background.  We would welcome you to visit our school to get a real feel for our school environment. School tours are conducted on an appointment basis.

Applications to Nursery
If your child has a birthday between the 1st September 2018 and the 31st August 2019, you may apply to join our Nursery class.

Applications to our Nursery are made directly to the school, and there are a number of full time places available. Our Admissions policy applies to Nursery places, and it should be noted that children who have attended our Nursery have first preference in the Reception applications process. To apply, you will need to fill out a school application form and a religious observance form if applicable, and return them to the school office, or via email to admin@st-johnjerusalem.hackney.sch.uk
 
Both required forms are at the bottom of this page. You will also be asked to provide your child's birth certificate and passport. 
 
Applications to Reception
This admissions process is for children aged 3 and 4 (born between 1 September 2016 and 31 August 2017) who will start reception class at primary school in September 2021.
    
 
Apply Online
You will be able to apply online for a primary school place from 1 September 2020. The online system is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. Applications should be submitted before 15 January 2021 to be treated as ontime, but you can still apply after this date.
 
You can login and change your preference at anytime until midnight of the closing date, listing any six primary schools in London. You will get the result of the your application by email, before the letter arrives in the post.
   
Before you start
Please read the Hackney's Primary School Admissions Guide for Parents. Please see: Apply for a Primary School Place Guide or you can request a physical copy from your local children's centre, primary school.
 
You will need to register your details and provide an email address. If you have no email address, you can get a free email account with provider Google (Gmail). Once registered, you will then be sent an email with details on how start your application.
 
Accessing the online application
The Reception applications procedure is managed via Hackney Education. You will need to complete the online application process here: eAdmissions
In addition to the online application process, you will be required to complete and return our Supplementary Form, (if applicable), which can be found below. You can return to this to the school via email, or to the school office. 
 
What happens after my online application?
Once you've completed your online application, you'll receive an email telling you your 16 digit reference number and preferences expressed. Please make and keep a note of this number with your username and password and check that all details are correct.
 
Please note that if you have twins or triplets, you will need to complete a separate application for each child.
