How to Keep All Children Safe During COVID

Key Information & Details for All Parents:
If your child begins to develop and show any of the three main symptoms below:
  • A high temperature
  • A new, continuous cough (this means coughing a lot, for more than one hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours)
  • a loss OR change to sense of smell and taste (this means they cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different)
What to do if your child has any of the above symptoms:
  • Get advice about what to do from your doctor/GP (alternatively, you can contact NHS 111 if you're worried and still unsure of what to do next)
  • Arrange to book a test ASAP
  • Stay at home (for at least 10 days) and do not have visitors until you receive your test results - only leave your house to have the test (anyone you live with, and anyone in your support bubble, must also stay at home until you get the results)
Where can I access COVID-19 tests:
  • Tests can be accessed through the NHS website or by calling 119
