Forest School Club

Every Thursday 3.30–5pm (Term Time only)

Cost: free

EcoActive have organised After School Club sessions for children aged 7-11 years old and these 90minute sessions run on every Thursday afternoon during school terms from 3.30pm to 5pm.

This a great opportunity for your children to connect and engage with nature through a variety of outdoor learning experiences including mud painting, den building, digging for bugs, fire-making and cooking. Get your children to experience and embrace the outdoors and natural world.

Research shows that working together outdoors in a natural environment is beneficial to a sense of well-being, promotes self-confidence and self-esteem, and encourages the promotion of good communication and social skills.

Week 1

Hannah introduces the Forest School activities and discusses with the children how to stay safe in the wooded area.
The children learn how to put the batteries in their head torches

Then they off to explore digging for bugs, snails an wiggly worms

We warmed up with biscuits and hot chocolate!
