Black History Month

1st October 2016
As part of Black History Month 2016, all pupils participated in creating a multi-coloured collage picture of Mohammad Ali.  A black and white picture of Mohammad Ali was sketched and each class had a section of the face to colour in.  The key focus for the month of October was to read and discuss quotations from well known people. One of the quotes that he said was: "Don't count the days, let the days count." Pupils used partner talk to discuss what this meant. All understood the importance of making every day count and giving 100% effort at all times. Key words like: commitment, determination and perseverance were also talked about. This month was linked to building on pupils Core Learning Skills to prepare them for becoming great participants in our World.

Well done to all pupils!!
