PTFA

ABOUT US... The Parents, Teachers and Friends Association is open to anyone who is a Parent, Carer or Teacher who would like to contribute to the wider life of the school. We provide volunteers and resources to school events like the origami club, Christmas Fair, International Day, Easter Disco and Summer Fun Day. Our after school picnics and family film nights have been a great success and enjoyed by all who attended, as were our annual Christmas and Summer bazaars, respectively. These events are great fun, with everyone pitching in to help, and they strengthen our school community as well as getting a lot done and raising money for the school in the process. Why not come along to the PTFA meeting to share ideas and find out what you can do to help?

NEWS... Do sign up to our new Whats App group to keep you informed of future events (speak to the school office or Lisa-Raine, Claire or Estelle for more details).

Thanks to all those who came to our PTFA breakfast and AGM (Annual General Meeting) on Thursday 24 May.

Do come to our "Stay and Play" Event after school on Friday 8 June. Bring some snacks to share, relax and have fun. We'll meet by the tree in the Junior Playground. Everyone welcome!

Our school summer fair is on Thursday 28th June after school. The PTFA would like to run several stalls including a book stall, cake and sweets stall, toys stall and tombola.  Could you help with any of the following?

Donating  (via the school office): prize items for the tombola in good condition (no second hand electricals please); Toys and other household items in good condition; Cakes – on the day!; (NB Please DON’T donate books this year – we have tonnes and no more storage space!)

Helping: Running a stall; Setting up and clearing up; Face-painting.

Run your own/a community stall: We would like this to be a school and local community event. If you have a small business and would like a stall of your own, some spaces are available for £10 hire fee. If you are involved in a local community group we can give you ‘awareness’ space for free.

If you can help with any of the above, please contact Claire.

EASYFUNDRAISING...Don't forget you can raise money for the school PTFA every time you shop online simply by signing up to easyfundraising.org.uk. Thousands of online shops will donate a commission to St John of Jerusalem PTFA when you shop with them, and it doesn't cost you a penny extra! Please sign up! The more people that do, the more we raise.
